On 18 November 1993, the little girl got off her school bus that was eight houses away from her home. It was five minutes of walk but she managed to walk to the four houses only and disappeared before she could reach her home.
Normally, her parents used to pick her up where the bus left her but on that day both of them were busy. After 30 minutes passed by, her parents were worried for her.
Even after searching for her for days, they could not find her. However, on November 27 her body was discovered by two hunters in Busch Wildlife Conservative Area.
Her body was tied on a tree naked and her face was covered with duct tape except for her nose. An autopsy report suggested that she died few hours before the hunters found her body.
The case remained unsolved for over two decades and finally, the murderer was arrested and punished in 2019.

Angie Housman’s killer was Earl Cox. She was not his first victim, he was charged many times before for sexually assaulting young girls. The 63 years old was sentenced to 10 years in prison after getting caught in the FBI’s sting operation.
Prior to his release, his DNA was matched with the DNA of a person found in Angie’s underwear and he was convicted for the murder.
According to news sources, he pleaded guilty and confessed his crime in order to escape the death penalty. He is sentenced to life in prison.
