In the 1950s, Abaza began appearing in films, including The Mummy (1959), The Night of Counting the Years (1969), and The Yacoubian Building (2006). He has also appeared in television series such as The Story of the Family (1966) and The Story of the Family 2 (1970). Abaza has been married twice and has four children.
